Walked the dogs down Soutar Point last night and saw a nice sea running so decided to pop down to use up the dregs of my frozen crab. Started about 9pm at the Wherry and the sea looked perfect for big fish. Nice big rolling waves and next to no wind. Stayed until 10.30 with no bites that I could see. Decided to try elsewhere so had a look at Soutar car park but there was nae water so decided to give the Walkway a try for the last of the ebb and fisrt of flood. Still a good tide running at 11pm and got a few little rattles but still no fish to count. Blanked again !

unlucky mate better luck next time this blanking cant go on for ever just keep trying mate one will turn up soon enough:)

Tough place to catch fish The Wherry, especially on a Saturday night in a comp lol. We were plagued with eaters - every cast, hanging on, wrapped around the snood. I put it down to being so far south....

LASTHOPE: The Wherry is a cliff top mark a few hundred yards South of Soutar point. The Walkway is the mouth of the Tyne on where the So Shields yatch club is (about half a mile east from where your photo is taken).

STORES: The sea was that big even the eaters wouldnt come out in case they got their heads pounded in.

BLACKRAT: The dogs caught as much as me (at least they get to see the rabbits sometimes).
