I swapped my XTR as the butt was to soft the TT-R has a better lock so you can hit it faster and harder Try this with a Zzippy the butt just keeps bending
and then you leave the tip behind.

yep it would be good to see surfcasting comps up here again, most of the casting community have forgoten that we,ve got some top level international and world class casters up here.yes ive tried to sort it but like i said before john/r i need help, i can,t do this thing on my own ,i have a court ,tapes etc , i need people willing to push the boat out a bit, yes there,s interest , come on ,lets try.if this is what you ne guys want to do ,then lets go. like match anglers/ tourno casters, we compete to win

hi willy boy, regarding help i have had private messages and said help was,nt a prob so maybe people will come forward and put there names to you, sorry i cant do any more

hi willy i only put thread up dissapointment as quite a few people were asking me what was happening ,what time did you come on here this morn, have you asked the farmer from your way about field like you said you were.now is the time to speak what are the main stumbling blocks for holding comps
1 suitable venue???
2 money up front for field???
3 enough interest to cover costs ????
4 insurance?????
john the backwards caster

:p the farm field near mine unfortunately is,nt available, but i,m still looking. i,ll be speaking to anne howlet tmorra, regarding the insurance etc ,anyone who knows where theres a decent field ie 500yards square ,let me know

hi willy, there is quite a bit interest you would be suprised the amount of people on to me about it steve took a mate down on field thurs afternoon got him up to 202yds in a couple of hour 19 half stone carl, then theres allan from horden, kirkleathem lads ,local lads ,dave your mate, chukka from birtley seems keen poss blackpool lads then hacksaw barn but not sure of that, harry barker i would think poss,as you say not just a comp but also it would be way for people to learn there would be plenty of people there more than willing to help we all have to start somewere

allreet big dave xtr was built with a softish but has they were originally built for o.t.g casting but a couple off lads had great succes martin watson peter t with there xtrs however i found the dymic bullet more to my licking now using a sst you may find something like aprimo easier to lock up i think some of the stiffer rods give u a false representive of feelin that they have been locked up when they havent but different casting styles need diferent rods when i mention the primo range im not trying to b cocy but they do seem to lock up easy and very quickly mckellow used them and had a lot of succes any way m8 good luck tony
