Alan had a cracking plaice off steetley yesterday 17/9/09. Photo and report on britishseaanglers.com. This was a personal best for me and a cracking fish. It was verified by Bob C moderator off the site.

Heard a rumour down panns bank today,that there was a 8-10lb cod caught off Roker pier this morning,i'll let you know if i hear out in depth name etc thats if it was caught,got a post on another forum asking if any ones heard out about it and only 1 reply saying they aint heard anything like.

If its the same lad unless he was fishing the seaham comp,they reckon he lost one about 20lb off Hendon prom but he got one about 10lb.

Had a text yesterday from a Mate saying there was a canny few good fish caught in a local clubs comp 3,5,7lbers from the High drop off area/high ledge,River wear. One lad apparently had 9 out to 7lbs.

im hearing of a good size shad took off roker today maybe a bloke in a wheelchair 2lb or more was mentioned no macky as yet just coalies,also if true the shad shud of been returned

hello alan
fished craster sunday morning with county house club.
poor start due to no drift and large swells, anyway things picked up once we got some tide.
total codling count on board was 52 nice fresh fish of which i managed 17 of them.
few pout and wrasse also.
