£1 shop in cramlington - fishing gear

Just spotted a box with a load of little plumb weights in, selection of sizes - 16 total for a quid a pack, picked up a couple of packs for the kids little rods.

some crappy looking spinners, 3 in a pack for a quid but very lightweight..

They've also got some catapults tagged as fishing items, basically exactly the same as the old Black Widow's/Strike 9's.

btw, if you want a catapult, better be quick - i just sat and thought through the fact that these are readily available to anyone, kids included and decided that the boys in blue better be aware that they're on sale as a fishing item... not wanting to be a spoilsport, but having tried mine out it really is identical to any other high powered catapult, hell I could hoy a ball bearing the width of Kielder with these things and I figured most people like their windows as they are now....

I've actually still got my Catapult from when i was a bairn,bloody good'un as well

same here, sort of... there's at least one black widow and about 3 strike-9 frames somewhere, was cheaper to buy a new one than try and get more elastic at one point!
kid you not though, these ones from the quid shop are identical to widows, had me a bit worried when i tried mine out and realised... a diablo catapult is about £15-£20 but these are a quid and nearly as powerful - add to that the fact the quid shop isn't gonna stop kids buying them :-/

whats wrong with the old fork of a tree and some quarter inch square elastic a bit of tough cloth for where the marbles/stones went. cost a couple of shillings for the elastic
