Headed out early as usual this morning hoping to get a few hours in before the forecast poor weather arrived, picked Bert, Kenny & and Kyle at 4.0am and met our guest for the day, Frank N Stein down the quay. Didn't venture too far with the forecast but luckily the usual inshore marks produced the goods. Back in for lunchtime, we ended up with 52 cod & 1 ling, mostly around the 2 to 4lb with a few about 6lb. Kenny was top man with 15, Bert 13, Kyle 12, Frank 6 & I eventually managed 7 after another very huffy slow start. Obviously there's no need for me to mention which bait was the most successful.

Another fantastic morning, great craic, plenty fish, and a pint or two afterwards - Cheers Bert! ;)

Unfortunately too much enjoyment can have an adverse affect on the younger generation :D

Nice one lads, feared for frank all day ...................... a scotchie in that sea must`ve been hard to take :) :) :) enough to make ya nuts fall off (assuming they`re screwed to your bolts that is) :) :) well done lads .......

Aye another great day out again ! Thing are really going well at the moment on the fish side of things;) we would have done a little better if Keith and Frank had pulled there weight, great start to the season and a good stamp of fish aswell, now that the Tigers are starting to show maybe we will have to drag ower selves a little further off shore to search out some bigger quarry of the ling variety ?,,,,,,,,,,. but then maybe not;)for a little while longer ,till the sun starts to shine and summer comes:)

Were flowing traces the winner?

I fished with old fashioned cod feathers all morning and the key bait was big bunches of rag...although I did catch the Ling using a hard backed crab lanced onto the middle hook :o
