news just in says sugarsands 19lb+
other bags in area were over 20lb.
one lad had 3 for 17lb best 9lb.

I heard that as well from a very reliable source, a lad fishing next to him had 4 fish for 20lb, seems to ring a bell that (alnmouth area).

i heard the 12lb cod came off ratty and was pulled up the ramp by a fellow angler ,he usally fishing the eastenders matches but some reason didnt and just joined in fishing with the lads for pleasure

I was in Amble angling centre yesterday and it was actually your friend Callum who caught the fish Alan and it was around the 15lb mark. That was according to the two former club members who were fishing next to him.....I said at the timne it would be like ET's mother ship there last night and guess what????? 30 lights between there and Alnmouth, and as far as I am aware there was nothing caught.....People must think there are shoals of 15lbers just swimming around. I even saw some one just 200yds offshore fishing in a pleasure boat yesterday....News travels fast...too fast!

happend here as well red, as soon as there is a big cod caught out of Cullercoats Harbour you cant get moved, and of course nothing. rememeber when Mal McDonald won the Tynemouth open from the Warriors with his 24lb cod, they where there for two weeks, in totally wrong conditions, how somebody didnt get washed in I dont know.
Heard the lad who caught the 12lb at the Ratty was called Davy, he is from the tackle supermarket at Sunderland, anybody know his second name

Have heard our club report this morning and it was a really poor weigh in considering the seas the day befor eand the fact the water was like cocoa! I tried all over last night and only had a couple of Larry the lobster bites. Went to fish a secret mark and there were two lights there.....Hmmm.. nothing stays secret for long!

Heaviest bag was Andrew with two fish for about 7lb. Will let you know full results when I get them Alan.
