So Friday on shields pier then??, Been without electricity at home till now other wise would have joined in earlier. Doesn\'t look like I\'ll get out today, as there\'s a BIG pile of snow to clear, and 200 yards of snow drifts to clear off the track before I can get the car out, but in all likely hood I\'ll be on the peir anyways tomoroww. a: caught more fish than I can carry in which case I\'ll be there till june
b: get bored
c: run out of bait

the bairn is a bit undecided at the mo, she has a tough choice, either play with the new talking barbie town house, or come out and freeze.

Been lucky enough to catch 4 doublers in my time,but they have all come at the wrong time(pleasure fishing) would ove to catch 1 in an open comp.

I do know what you mean though.
The 1st shore comp I organised for thr RNLI fund raising was a canny night, but there were VERY few fish caught. Didn\'t even bother with a weigh-in as it was obvious which fish had won it (it was the one that was caught...lol). The following night, I went out - fished the same spot as I had the night before and landed plenty-o-fish of decent size (best being a 4lb+ codling, if I remember right)
