Aye Deano, thats the one ...... It's great fun but much enhanced by the fact that it's sooo hard to get it "just right" ..... I've burned loads of plastics and other materials and had the garage like old london town in the smog ..... (Tony the cook comes in very handy when a pan is needed) the satisfaction and end result when you get a good cast is worth the work.
Chris, for cost I think maybe the material itself is cheaper than buying shads (or could be in a years time when we perfect it

) as long as you don't burn it or waste it, but at this point in time I'm many many pounds down due to mould material and some (a large

) amount of failed stuff, but that's not what it's about, cost is immeterial, it's the pleasure of success (cant wait for the first fish

)
The story all started about 3 weeks ago when a new lad at the marina (Chris) with a similar boat to slinky (like kevins 645) said hello, we got talking and he showed me and gave me one of his flatty lures ............................ I knew as soon as I seen ........ the stage was set :0) ... many thanks Chris...
It's hard work..... certainly not as flash as a bought shad .....and is a lot easier to cast with two pair of hands (thanks tone) but sheer heaven when it comes out the mould as a good-un.
Still lots of problems to get over but we're getting there ....

pleased yous like .....
