27 and a 17 pound cod! Shore fishing Norway!!

Hey

Not been out in a while, so I popped down to Straumen last night for a couple of hours! Decided only to fish slack and and an hour of the flood as it was very cold! Used half herring to keep away from the little fish, first cast a small codling about 2 pound, second cast another small codling rattling then the tip went hard over and it was on! 20 seconds later and all i got back was a baddly scarred codling! Next cast and I was in to a good fish and the current had turned so it was gona be a struggle to get him in but my E1000 elimimator handled her well and out came a lovely 27 pounder!!

Got casted back in as I had about 10min more before it was unfishable, soon as the rod was in the rest away it went! Again the rod came to life, pumping and winding to get another one in! Nice cod in fine condition just over 17 pound!

Fantastic session I thourt this cold weather would bring them in like it did last year!! Gona be exciting times ahead I think! That 30 pounder will be here soon!!

Thanks for looking, we have dates available for this year and next season! Have a look at our site were you can download the shore fishing broucher!! Welcome to skarnsundet.com

Awesome fish, well done. I keep promising myself that I will go to Norway to try and catch some proper fish but can never get off my backside to organise it. One day!
