hey lads going 2 whitley bay next friday 4 the weekend and im hoping that i'll be taking home some fish
when i return home next sunday i'll upload the photos of the fish that i have caught.
what is the best spot at whitley bay 2 fish from

a think the half moon at a low tide is good its at the far wnd next to the pubs av seen some good pics of big cod geting cort in the winter so might produse some good bass other than that it all fishes well on a low tide just down from the skate park is a good spot as well

would go on whitley pipe. you may get a nice plaice at this time of year off the pipe m8.
take some light spinning gear as you might hit a pollack also.

chances of getting a codling this time of year from the beach are about NIL

definately fish the pipe, the sea will be flat so theres not a great chance of bass, take a rod for bait and a spinning rod. low water is 4.30pm on saturday and it is not a big tide so the pipe wont be uncovered for too long. the trick for the pipe that has worked for me is to not cast too far, maybe about 20-30 yards, or just wack it as far as you can, could also try a float with rag just off the edge of the kelp for pollock. I might go down saturday afternoon so i could see you there.

just a couple of flatties all up to about 1 or 2lb

That's good flatties to 1 or 2 lb. No need for the sad faces as you'll be lucky to catch much bigger ones. You'll get bigger fish in the winter but will be lucky to beat that by much in the summer

sorry 2 disappoint yas all but a couldnt take any photos coz me battery on me phone had died and a forgot t take me phone charger to the caravan that me nanna and grandad have got at whitley bay
