6500 help

any one know how to but mag 6500 goes back together ,,mag side little spring popped out got my head done in

reel is back together but when you take it out of gear and spin the spool it makes a funny clicking noise from the mag side
any ideas would be helpful

Pretty sure it is to do with the adjuster (slidy mag adjuster) you have to put the magnet carrier into a position between the two parts of it before putting the end plate back onto cage, The parts diagram is quite awkward to understand as all the parts are separated, If you are still stuck let me know and I will take the end plate off mine and send you a photo of it assembled

is it the gr model you have ?? if so its a fiddly little `tard` to get right, you may have to restrip and reassemble it, dunno why but mine seems to go back easier if i keep it `out of gear` when reasembling

Right, sorry it took so long had to get the assistance of my other half, there is nothing holding the mag assembly into place until you put the end plate onto the cage, you need to:
1, put the small plate spring onto the magnet carrier
2, place the magnet carrier into endplate the hole goes at about 5o'clock looking from reel seat upwards
3, the top end of magnet carrier goes under the slide control not inbetween as i thought, when the end plate is on the spring pushes magnets towards spool and the slider forces it away
4, the other plate spring goes on the hole about 1 o'clock
5, now the hard part getting it together onto the cage without it falling to bits
hope thats some help I remember the nightmarte I had when taking mine to bits the first few times.

I did exactly the same with 2 of mine could not get side back on right ,broke my sports mag slider too had to send it back to abu think what i did with my c3 was set the mag on number 3 slightly offset ya screw holes then clockwise twist it keeping tension on real pain wont be taking it apart again
