Bob mate I like a pulley dropper rig , or a up n over rig bob you have to watch for the tide more than anything else, when i wwas there it was 9-5metres and the weed on the ebb made it unfishable mate[/QUOTE
thats ok have got some pulleys left off the winter from 2/0 to 4/0and have some bluey in freezerwith some crab , so looks if not have to change much if out
cheers lads for info much appreciated
Cheers mate appreciate it just I found when you fishing some people just starting fishing ask about rigs and I was trying to explain and he was a bit lost so I tied him one up and he got it so I had a idea of making a couple of videos as I have said they not for the experienced angler
a few of us is off to silloth at the weekend to have a bash for a thorny or 2 . so any help with best rigs baits etc, would be really good as am used to just using pullies ,paternoster , and 2 hook clip downs for most of my fishing. thanks in advance
cheers joe will be making a few of them tonight, and cheers to the rest of you,s for the other infoBob this is only what I experienced as hound hunter recommend drop down pulley as there is no clip to get hung up on as water is not that deep 70 lb bottom end with pennel I used 3/0 but that's personal choice and as pop said ebb is horrendous on the flood the water is flowing into a funnel but when it ebbs there's no restrictions and it steams did try saltist with 30 lb without leader because of weed on the leader knot but went back to 525 20lb + 70lb to get the distance and lift as suggested could stick to no leader and use drop net or land at the ramp personal choice if any body hasn't used a dropper rig I made this a bit ago
