A chance to be in a dvd.

Hi all,

I wasn't sure what forum to put this on as its a bit of an in between subject.

The WWF are looking to record a DVD which is to be presented to every MP before the marine white paper is to be discussed in parliament. They are looking to speak to representatives of every recognised shareholder in the marine enviroment and get their opinions on a local basis. For some reason they have chosen the NE region to represent angling in the DVD and I have arranged for the film crew to go out on a boat from Hartlepool to witness a typical NE fishing session.

So the reason for the post is I need 5 or six people to take part in this fishing session ( as extras) . It will be at about 7am leaving Hartlepool and at no cost to those who want to come along. The session will finish early but John the skipper of flamer2 has offered to take us back out when filming is over.

I have invited Stuart Johnstone on the boat and the WWF are keen to get his opinions as to wether the british cod record will ever be broken and if not why not. I know that Stuart has a few things he would like to say on that subject as have I .

If you fancy the trip, or failed the x factor auditions or would simply like to take part let me know and its on a first come first served basis. I would particularly welcome some shore anglers as I feel their opinions count just as much as boat anglers.

Cheers
Dave

This really interests me.

Will we have to wear leotards and sweat bands or can we still wear flotation suits.

My Dad Ed McMahon says he can come as well if you want.

When you say WWF Dave you do mean the real WWF. Good - in that case I would suggest you contact the Cleadon Club and / or any of The Boys lads :heartpump:

What do you mean Ell? The Boys's crew are all very Photo-Genic

Some idea of when might be useful

OOps sorry about that ...its this coming tuesday 25th...

The filming will take place in the morning as the crew have to be moving on just after lunch. But I am sure we can persuade the skipper to take us back out after they have been dropped at the dock for some proper fishing.

PM me with a mobile number if you fancy the trip and I will get back to you.

So far confirmed is Falcone and Stu Johnstone the whitby skipper but we need about 4 or 5 more people.

If anyone from cleadon club or the boys wants to come please let me know.

Cheers
Dave

if its tuesday might be a problem for me,but 25th {friday is absolutly fine}

Give me a ring Dave or send me a pm with the final details.

Ok I own up i was pi**ed when I posted that. The date is the 22nd and the standby date is the 25th...the friday.

Treeboa it was a joint decision by the producer and me as I am predominantly a boat angler. With regard to trying different marks we are going to be lucky to get 90 seconds to comment on fishing here in the NE and how the proposals in the Marine white paper may affect that. Its not a fishing documentary its an opportunity for comment on the proposed rules changes. If the weather is bad it is probable we will sit in the marina and film on board the boat or take the opportunity for a rerun on the 25th.

If anyone has any comments (particularly from shore anglers as I am not a shore angler) about why they think the fishing is at the point it is at the moment and how the marine white paper could affect things feel free to post them and they will be taken into consideration. I will copy and paste the suggested list of questions they are looking for replies to over the weekend if it helps.

Cheers
Dave.

Well the trip went ahead as planned . Going to put a report in the boat fishing catch reports as we did actually catch some fish. It all went well although the catch wasnt stunning.

Cheers
Dave.
