A few canny Cod

Had a peddle up to Whitburn this afternoon to fish the rubbish dump. Caught one about 7 and a halfish first cast, then a few chucks later, one about 5 and a halfish. Then when it got dark, up popped local boy Kevin Scott, who'd been watching me from his window and decided to fish, his first chuck, he lobbed it about 30 yards, went to bait another trace up, next minute his rod nearly got pulled over the cliff but luckily I was on hand and managed to grab it in the nick of time, and another 7 pounder came up the cliff.

If that's the case, don't accept an invitation to fish down Bempton way near Flamborough Head - went there once in my teens & think the cliffs there were about 400ft straight down Proper bum-twitching experience - not really my kind of fishing either lol!
