Hi,

I'm on me hols and the weather is very wet today, so i'll share a few photos of the sea and boaty things. Haven't managed any fishing yet but did stay on a boat for a couple of nights around the Whitsundays Islands.

Great report & even better pictures. It's a shame you have hit there wettest season in years. Hope it dosnt spoil your holiday.

Great pictures and it was great to see so many kids fishing on that pier. What a terrible time they are having with those floods. Its best to try and miss the wet season altogether if you plan to go to Queensland or the Northern territories. Make sure that you get some fishing in and let us see the photos.

We plan to have another 3 month stint out there once my daughter has her baby and they sort out their residency. I have some fishing gear in storage in Sydney and cannot wait to get back. A couple of the lads from the Sydney fishing forum have a few trips lined up for my return.

Nice pictures, the first looks like Blyth West pier with the railings painted :) According to the news tonight, the flood water is “infested” with crocs, which could add interest if you had a spinning rod.

Cheers for the comments lads,
Didn't manage any fishing:( I was backpacking from Sydney to Cairns in 4 weeks and was on a budget and time was tight. Between £3 and £4 for a schooner of beer (375ml):o.
Still had a great time, in Hollywood now for a couple of nights. A little stop off on the way home:).
