A grand day at Eyemouth

Went to bed last night with that excited feeling you get before a fishing trip, all day to myself on Saturday and the weather looked good but as always the big question was where to go.

The morning dawned clear blue and warm for the time of year so a visit to Eyemouth wasn't a hard choice to make.

I decided to explore a new spot or two that I had never fished. I set up on a precarious looking rock shelf that had very deep water close in.

Things were quiet until a couple of guys came in a boat to collect their lobster creels. One of them shouted over to me as he was taking a Codling out of his lobster pot that the fish were over here mate........so as soon as they moved the boat and creels my bait was put in that spot.

Not long after a nice result, cheers Mr pot guy and yes I do have a pink cooler box but that's as gay as I go people, lol.

And another soon after........

Then a Ballan Wrasse!

I started to catch small Coalfish on the bait rod so out came the spinning rod.

They were going daft for the spinners and I took one or two Pollack as well.

I do like to take the odd fish now and then for tea but on this occasion they all went back, Saturday nights curry night you see and the fish were lucky this time!

Cracking weather, good fishing and a new mark that I will certainly be back to next year, happy days.

Great session mate and nice pictures. I used to fish that area a lot in my youth. Even managed to fall in there once!!!!
