Me and the little-un wandered down to Whitley beach for a couple of hours tonight. We arrived when there was just enough daylight left to set up and could see a good hole and sandbank at the Panama.
The first cast hadn’t been in the water a minute when the bites started. I pulled out a small puddler and the little-un landed a granny fish – the first I’ve seen off the beach for quite some time.
No bait came back untouched and by the end of the night we’d added a couple of rocking as well as small codling and more puddlers to the total of fish returned.
