whilst fishing neat Souter lighthouse the F.V Ticino caught a 500 lb bomb, thought to be a torpedo (some type of tuna ?)the crew have alerted the Coastguard and the RNLI, were bomb disposal experts will examine it. Iv seen the photo , Im no expert but its a bomb/torpedo, save your self's a trip lads its a bomb and a big one, apparently its getting dropped of at Whitley Bay, ??? Great I live a few hundred yards from the beach, so if that thing goes off tonight thats a few walls and ceilings that might be missing tomorrow, or at least will need re-plastering,,,,,,,,,,,, joking apart just take the image in, the 4 crew watching the net coming over the side, Its bulging , its a record catch, then looking at it closer Aye its a record catch alright , theirs a 500lb bomb in it, Brown trouser moment me thinks, Im guessing it will be taken to the yellow can just off ST Marys lighthouse to be detonated , thats the reason for the buoy, I hope they make a day of it, cos iv never seen a 500lb bomb go off , it might be worth taking the boat out and grabbing a few stunned fish, it will be interesting to see what comes up or is washed up the next day,

according to the Sunderland Echo it will be detonated
at first light today (26/2) although The house did shake
a bit at 2pm today, ????? exactly 2pm !!! ,,I was watching
the news at the time, prob a coincidence

does any one know what happened, trawled through loads of stuff, still don't know if it was detonated, spoke to a Copper i know , he used to love it when bombs were detonated off W/Bay, they used to take the Police launch out and collect all the stunned fish. the Northumbrian police dined on cod for ages,
