Accomodation for anglers

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

As Secretary of Longbenton & Seaton Burn SAC I am asking for help from NESA members in identifying accomodation for weekends away suitable for a group of sea anglers up to about 20 in total. As a Club we enjoy at least 2 weekends away per annum but are now seeking alternatives to what have become our \'regular\' spots - viz Whithorn; Portpatrick and Whitby.

It is not easy finding basic but clean accomodation willing to accept a \'single sex booking\' from a bunch of male anglers! Our needs are simple - bed and breakfast at a reasonable rate, nearby parking and near the sea and a good bar or two! Up to 3 hours max driving time from Newcastle would preffered.

We may be particularly interested in the Eyemouth and Scarborough areas.

If any of you have any suggestions - or even know of a club that has weekends away - please let me know. Any help would be much appreciated. :D

Hedley, the St Vedas hotel at Coldingham bay might be what you are looking for. Stores will be able to tell you better about how many they can accommodate and their phone number.

Jim.

It\'s in the accommodation bit in the web links but the link is

http://www.stvedas.co.uk/

An hour from Newcastle, sea 100 yards away, plenty choice of rough and sandy ground but cr*p if the weather\'s against you.
Hope that helps Hedley

Ha !

You beat me to it, David......lol.

Hedley, there\'s a section in the Weblinks (over on the left of the screen) called \"FISHING HOLIDAY ACCOMMODATION\"

You\'ll find a link to the St Vedas website in there (courtesy of Mr. Storey)

Heedley, I\'ve stayed here before in Whitby and it was clean, basic and cheap. She also cooks a mean breakfast! ;)
