advice please

out for my first trip of the year 2 morro just bought a load of shads what is the best way to fish them on a flowing trace but do you just drop them to the bottom of retreive them a bit and drop them down again

yeah thats all i do...just a slow retrieve of say 1-2 metres then let them dive back down...winner everytime
