Amble pier and area

Looking to give the pier a go at the weekend, can anyone tell where's best to fish on the pier? And any other marks nearby? I've seen the paddling pool mentioned but don't know the area at all. Any advice would be really appreciated. Cheers

Fished there over the summer with my lad. Never seen much sizeable fish pulled out other than a 3+lb cod from the very end. Out to the right of the locked gate at the end.

the paddling pool area is just south of the pier m8 but its a high water shot in2 pan gut.
