Amble pier inside the harbour entrance and around the end is clean ground, if you throw to the south you with hit rough-ish ground. Nothing too bad or snaggy. If you can coincide high water on a good sized tide with sunset I have always done well through the summer on there with good coalies and codlings amongst them inside the harbour entrance.
warkworh`s the other side, go through amble, past the castle, past all the pub`s, when you cross the bridge turn rite, head for the car park, 15/20 mins walk, that`s it.
never been m8, me and a couple of m8`s have been looking into it, bit Quieter than the piers, (not now) aye, been told good macy`s getting caught, just 1 thing m8, if your taking any kids, there`s no railing`s/ fencing round the jetty`s. enjoy.
Loads of flatties in the harbour mate, best chance of a decent fish is off of the end straight out with a big chuck. Big problem with boat traffic though so I just don't bother on there any more
