Lost £500 quids worth off the end of Blyth pier:( did'nt give it a thought about jumping in, but thought about chucking the bloke next to me in to get it for me, and from what i heard today at ANGLERS UNITED was only a £50 quid rod, Cant help but think putting those lads from R.N.L.I. IN WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN A BIGGER ISSUE, All thats left to say is IS YOUR ROD WORTH YOUR LIFE? My ANSWER NO, NO NO,............ Can always buy another rod but not a life

How did that happen mate?

Just noticed this thread. If it is right and he did jump in after his gear he should be billed for the wasted fuel the RNLI lads used to get to him and for the ambulance needed to take him to hospital. Really boils my p**s when people do stupid things and expect others to risk their own lives to help them. Soap box away for another day:mad:

Sadly mate, people do stupid things like this around the shoreline of the UK every day as well as the genuine cases of accidents.
