Well, Xmas is over and all is almost back to normal again (even on here :) ) been down to boat today for a check over and engine run. Decided to clean and oil (WD40 on a jcloth) the rods and reels on board since they looked a little damp. It brought memories of days out in seasons past , but more than that it filled me with anticipation for the season to come. We are now just 25 weeks away from the longest day, thoughts ot the mackerelrel returning, the big ling the sunshine ahhhhaaaa not be long now ..............
assuming fris or sat turns up weatherwise ok , who`s up for a boat comp? ....... LOL remembering friday is new years eve of course (ne probs, just take the plink plink fizz with you) :) :) :)
 
Dave, Wasn`t antyhing to be seen in windows or owt so nothin to worry about, just it`s been weeks and weeks since i`ve even handled the rods, I noticed just a few specs of damp on the reels so cleaned them off.

Steve, boats are usually full but we`ll see how it goes, depends who`s going out (weather permitting of course) and who`s available - I`ll pm you if theres any spare places.
 
As long as the forcast is OK, I\'ll have a venture out. How far you\'s planning on travelling as I don\'t want to be caught out in me little open boat.
 
FWIW chaps friday looks a lot better(!) than saturday (your hangovers are safe)

Seems most of the boat peeps have prior engagements keith, (Dave and Bob as well as marc, also cant make it) so I think we`ll keep the comp warm till a few weeks time. We`ll go for the first good weather saturday. I might have a run out tomorrow not sure yet, will yous be out sat as usual or will it be a new year recovery day LOL. :)

Out tomorrow Norman, I made my mind up to never go out after drinks the night before after the breakaways comp, I was ill, the only thing that stopped me ground baiting was the three camera phones pointed at me all morning - lol
