Years ago, i used to fish a place. but cant remeber it now,,i know it was past whitley bay past the lighthouse, and i think u also past a pub on the left, iam sure there was a hut on top of bank maybe a scout hut or r,n.l.i hut,, and u walked down beside it, too a slab of rock half moon shaped, where u could fish into deep water,,???? anyone know

where you looking along a nice sandy beah from where you where fishing. If so it sounds like the sumps

too the left there was a sandy beach yes, and it was a good drop from the rock slab too the sea, into deep water ?

Not the sumps, not far from the sumps to sea level, in fact if its rough you would get washed off. You could well have been fishing Rocky Island from the high water shot.
