don't think anybody has been out because of the weather, and I have had no reports from skippers or private baot anglers.

Welcome to NESA jamie .... :)

As alan rightly says the weather (especially at weekends) has kept us all in for the past few weeks, fingers crossed we`ll get a day out soon.

I have rapped it for the winter but on my last trip 3 weeks ago i managed a coupel fo ling from the wrecks but bait was hard to come by.

To be honest i have been well out on other peoples boats and on my wn boat and not found it any better than close in. I know a few lads that have done well on the well know grave yard and other areas well off with a few wrecks mind.

The furthest i have been off is 27 miles and the furthest on my own boat is 16 miles, nothing great to report.

I would have expected a few catch reports from close in and rough ground mind, Souter, small wrecks just off the pier and other areas of rough ground should by rights all hold fish at this time of year.
