On fishing the walkway lads, most times I have been it's snag city, I know to go on small tides. What other tips can anyone give me for fishing this venue, any tips much appreciated thanks.
i fish it most of the time i find the best time to fish is 2 hours up from low water and also find the best spot is infront of the disabled ramp dont loss much gear fromthere
Like said, whack into the middle of the river. Best chance of a good fish in my experience is around 2 hours before high water. Cast downstream and leave a lot of slack until the rig settles then slowly tighten but leave a bow in the line to act like a shock absorber against the run of the tide. If there's a few fishing the mark then you'll have problems with this mate.

use to find the walkway horrendous for losing leads, (lost nine one day ) but the last few years a do not find it snaggy as do not seem to lose much even when using 2 rod, not able to explain why t just the way it is
Thanks for all ya advice lads it's much appreciated, first time I fished the walkway I only lost 1 lead, since then every time I have been lost everything. If it's not already been snagged it's got snagged on way in, I think there is a rock to the left of the wooden jetty? gonna try what you all mention and try from low water.
I lost that much gear there didn't want to fish the place, but I know it's a good mark on it's day.
