hi all
ive had a racer coming in and out of my back garden for about a week but only noticed it had rings on its legs yesterday! dont know if its lost or what but it suddenly appeared last week!
been on the north east homing pigeon website and ive concluded its a stray from a race as its got four rings in total on its legs and its a british bird aswell tried ringing my local asociation but with it being the weekend nobodys home!
ive been feeding it and it looks in pretty good nick and flys no bother but is keep coming back to my garden as i have bird feeders for the smaller birds!
any advice lads and lasses??

this one has got serial.numbers on its rings none look like a phone number mate!it may well have the owners number on one of the wings but i aint caught the bugger yet to check haha!!

Cod magnet keeps pigeons he's on this forum he's got a lovely loft

I wouldnt bother mate, if it has got lost and ended up in your back garden, its not much use to the owner as a homing pidgeon. This is what i've been told by the pidgeon lads round here, if you contacted the owner he would just put it down.....

thats top and bottom give it back to owner you are sending it to its death :(

Should just leave the poor little thing where it is cause if ya catch it and give it back and the owners owt like me granda they will just ring it's neck like he did and then eat the fkr. Poor pigeon flew all owa for im and he knacks the fkr for being late, cruel old **** he was.

gonna leave it where it is as im buggerd if i can catch the bloody thing anyways haha!!
love this forum you lot make everything sound so epic haha mint cheers lads!

It might be worth a few quid, if its a breeder n just escaped from loft,
The guy I worked with caught one at the factory we were at, he contacted the owner n he was from down south, bird was worth about 5 grand, he didn't give him any cash but sent him a one of the chicks up to say thanks
