Yes ill be out and about this weekend, big fish baits on likely low water shots. I've had one double this year, another 7.2 a couple around 5lb and some smaller ones. I did lose two good fish in November, but I'm over that now.
Got to keep trying mate! I Use a 5" bluey bait on a 5/0 pennel, or a whole squid mounted on the same rig.
I usually use 2 rods and fish smaller baits on my second rod.surprising how many small fish will take a large bait, especially rockling and coalfish
I always cut my bluey half way through, remove the backbone and mount it inside out (flesh outward) anyway I'm just rambling on now haha!
Just get out and give it a go!
