you hit the nail on the head there, it is a growing sport,i started kayak fishing about 3 yrs ago, and found that you can cover alott more ground, and its not that expensive two start up,its nice to b able to go out of casting reach of the beach, some peaple can cast along way some canrt but when you are in a kayak no problem at all, allso you can get to marks that you carnt on the shore, think about it,iff anyone would like two try mine to see what it is all about, just ask i realy dont mind,it would be good to get more peaple into it.

Kayak Fishing

Hi Digger & thanks for the heads up Keith :) sorry about the authorization code in our new forums but the phpBB2 forums are prone to spambot attacks & by incorperating this link to the code which is just a pic, it has stopped em dead (for now). We'll see how it goes & if it's too hard to get in I'll try summit else.
Any hassle just drop me an e-mail. andy At kayakfishinguk.net
Reet, doon to business; Kayak Fishing in the UK is slowly taking off. Our sites been up since April 05 when I decided to push it. Everyone thought I was mad (inc. some of you here, LOL) and some still do but the fact is that I catch a Codling almost everytime I go out as opposed to standing on a rock edge or Pier & blanking nearly every trip out
I've got two sit on top Kayaks (S.O.T's) and if anyone fancies trying it I'll take them out complete with full safety gear. I've got a registered VHF radio now, am registered with the CG66 scheme and have had around 30 trips out this year alone.
I'm planning to get out on Sunday so I rang Tim (mentioned above) who informed me of the NFSA boat comp. on Sunday so I'm entering that. There's a special prize section for "yak anglers" which I think is a gr8 idea to promote the sport. Again if anyone wants to give it a go just drop me a line. (I feel like I'm spamming now) :red:

I'm geet busy reet noo so have to dash off but would like to say hi to all the old NESA stalwarts, LOL TC, Sless, Keith & all the good lads I met in here back in the days of JB. Good memories
Sless me geek course has moved to a Wednesday night m8 so al probly be joinin up ok ;)

sorry for the waffle, be happy & stay safe

Kayak Trip to the wrecks !!

Kayak Trip to the wrecks !!

Hi All
I am planning a wrecking trip out on the kayaks, We have been catching loads off the hard ground but fancy a little adventure. It will work something like this, load all the Yaks and gear onto Amadaus and steam out 10 mile to a load of wrecks, jump in the yaks and drift ,fish and paddle all day with the safty of the support boat always on hand. At the end of the day load the yaks back on Amadaus and steam home with box's full of 20lb cod.
There is loads of room on Amadaus, 10 yaks will fit on no problem, with loads of room left to run around, drink tea, tie rigs!!!++++
This is still in the planning stage, anyone interested PM me or pop in the shop.
You dont need a yak! people might want to take turns and fish from the boat aswell, any other ideas welcome..

What if you fall out though and your tabs go in the drink :o

Or the bait elastic goes overboard - NIGHTMARE ;)

Or a fish tows you to Blackpool and you haven't got the Bussy home :red:

been out two day on kayak started fishing at 1pm finished at 530pm,had a very good day,got 18 mackrel and 2 dog fish,no pics i bloody forgot my camra

good stuff mate - I fancy a kayak, but my ego wouldn't let me settle for anything less than the best (all the bells and whistles etc) ergo i can not afford one :( ;) :D

Is it precarious when you catch anything sizeable?

Tim, we`d be more than happy to join yous on the trip with slinky, a must for the photos of the yak Launches. .......
