Anyone on here?

Without wanting to start a big debate on this, I am surprised that when people launch from a beach or ramp they dont carry any recovery equipment for if they get stuck. I use to go offroading loads and always carry a recovery stap and a little hand winch in the boot of my car now cause you never know when you might need it. I launch and recover now from south shields and use a tow cable and recovery strap there as I dont want to put my car on the sandy part of the ramp and not get any grip. Yes is takes about 5 mins more but worth it from my point.

I never put my car in the water either , if it's too shallow to launch when the car is at the edge I detach the trailer and rope it in or out of the water from the tow bar. I don't have special wicnches or anything , but I imagine it's the same principle.

Easyest way is to launch and retreive as the tide is receding.

Totally mate,

Even when I was doing 4x4Response, the golden rule is...
Never put yourself in danger and assess what you are going to do.
