might have a run up to craster and fish behind the harbour if anyone fancies a run up on either sat or sun :) ...was gonna fish sluice beach tonight but dont think I\'ll bother b.....ds!!!

Fished at craster yesterday, had a few casts north of the harbour, not even a bite , then moved south to the black hole and still got nowt but my mate had a cod about 2 1/2lbs. ive just got a new rod so i was out to play with it, it was like a summers day flat calm so i didnt expect to much action.

Had a look along today fishfinder and it hadn\'t started. Don\'t think there would be enough water for the Sluice end tonight anyway mate as it\'s a very small tide.
I will be trying either \"The Sumps\" or the south of collywell bay tonight not sure which one yet. The tides will be okay for either of them.

Jim.

Just thought I\'d better post this after reading a certain other post lol. If anyone wishes to join me for a chuck tonight I must warn you I will be having a couple of cigarettes.

Jim.

I\'ve been thinking Craster like, need to consult the oracles first though (Geordie and John)

After reading Bigmans report on craster*cheers mate* decided to try a little further up ...EYEMOUTH lol took aaalll me bestest baits with me defrosted me peeler and caught A coalie. :casstet: ..still was a canny run out anyway :) gonna fish blyth pier tonight to use up the rest of me bait so if anyones down that way just look for the good lookin guy in the red titan smock....Im usually about three up from him ;)

Steve, i,ve fished Eyemouth on a number of occassions but always seemed to have me best results during the summer months end of may till september to coincide with the peel of crabs. Fresh/frozen crab and mussel tend to pick out the better codling/coalies and even the odd pollock. Some of the deeper gullies can be floatfished with ragworm/crab really effective for pollock, coalies and the odd ballan wrasse. You can catch fish just about anywhere and at all distances, i\'ve caught the red cod right at the side of a gulley. Take care on some of the more remote rock marks, as some can be quite tricky to get down to not worth it in damp/wet weather i also prefer to fish flat seas. Gear needs to be pokey slosh 30/abu 7000 reel loaded with 30lb plus line and rod in the calibre of Apollo, it\'s no place for light tackle particularly if you\'re bottom fishing and take plenty of rotters/leads. There are some good marks to the south of the harbout down towards burnfoot or alternatively you can head north around the cannons. Hope this helps ;)

Cheers JAW
