I had the 130 version, very disappointed. The mk3 was a much better rod. Both rods fitted together perfectly aswell come to think about it. Get yourself an older century mate you will be happier imo.

My m8 fishes with one and i have had a few casts with it and it casts a dream, copes well in all conditions including the rough stuff. Nice allround rod imo.

I can get a mint 1 for £150 or should I just buy a used century?

Old century is a better option imho. I've tried the extreme and wasn't overly impressed with it.

this rod,that rod,this reel that reel,this bait,this hook,this line,this bl..dy rod rest,etc,ect,ect.NO I HAVENT BEEN DRINKING.as said all depends on your TASTE.but got to agree members help out 100% if they can,{no punt intended}.sometimes its like reading sea angling mags over @over again.BUT LOVE IT.please keep all your opions coming.ps,thats another 2p worth for me.

So do you like the extreme Reg? You didn't say what rods good for one person will be a nightmare for someone else, all personal taste

I had the apollo mk3 I didn't like it 1 bit I had a old century
Vectra sport its the best rod I've ever had it was falling 2 bits but it just felt spot on
