For the answers to the PMs that were late today I must apologise. My computer has been down all day today and I had to call my son to sort it out. It didn\'t bother me MUCH though. Never missed it MUCH.

Been on the \'net for years now, Jim and had several ISPs when I was on the old 56k modem

AOL was the 1st I used......for a whole week........glad to get rid......apalling service.

Boy was I glad when Blueyonder Broadband came to town...........been with them since 2001 and never had a problem with them.

Aye BY are great, I starting paying for a 512k line, but have had 2 free upgrades so I\'ve now got a 1meg line for the same price

If only, we\'ve only just progressed from tin cans and string out here, broadband??? won\'t ever happen. BT are scum. The avaialbilty is all ddown to them. they are sitting on so much bandwidth to keep the price up. They did offer me a dsl line earlier this year - cost to install £12k cost to run £800 per month!!

If you look at the league table for broadband take up and availability worldwide, we are a third world country, lying in 57th position.

so for me I have to pay a stupid amount for 4 sdn lines in order to get a \'mid-band\' solution.

the cost for this is over £100 a month for less than half the speed of a 512k adsl line

used aohell when i had isdn ,totaly killed my pc ,switched to BT and found out i was paying 3 times the price of broadband for less speed and availability,anyway they upgraded the exchange last december and ive been with BT since with no problems although they are fixing to limit uploads next year and put prices up
