Asda fish counter

Had a look at the Asda fish counter this morning and was disgusted. They were selling Bass which would be lucky if they were 12 inches long. I\'d love to know their supplier

quite legal Dave, they are farmed.

yeah,nearly all bass in supermarkets now are these small farmed fish.Have you seen how much it costs!

I noticed that dogfish costs more than cod

Thing is as well, have you seen how much meat is on one of these supermarket bass.

Tesco had farmed bass about the same size ,sold by fish not weight ......wait for it .....£5 EACH

If people are daft enough to pay it, let them. As long as our Bass are left alone and anglers are no longer able to sell thier bass to the supermarkets I\'m happy.
On dogfish, I bought one last week in curiosity and it was quite nice. I may keep one next time I\'m on the West coast.
