At last

Blanked again

Had a trip to SSP this morning about 9.30 looking for my 1st codling of the winter. After reading a report yesterday i wasn't to confident as i couldn't get my hands on any crab but was armed with lug & squid.
Got set up about 20yards past the blocks and got this fella 2nd cast:)

I'm hopeless at guessing weights but felt about 1 1/2lbs. Measured at 44cm.
Not huge by anyones standards but it gets me off the mark for the season:) Just got to beat it now:rolleyes:
Only other thing to come in was a decent sized rockling.
Tidied up, put rubbish in the bin and packed away about 2.45 as all baits were coming back untouched.

When walking off, near the bend in the pier, i nearly tripped over masses of line discarded by other so called anglers. If it was you and your reading this, yes i cleaned your s***e away too, tossers. The bin was only 3 yards away ffs. I'ts no wonder people complain and we lose good fishing spots:exclam::exclam::exclam:

well done M8 I have had a slow start aswell but as the other lads have said once you get off the mark they seem to come couple at a time & as for the rubbish your right plenty bins use them or the powers that be will stop the fishing from piers

Cheers lads. It really boils my p!$$ when people just leave there crap about. It was tied to the railings too. If something blows away it can't be helped, happens to us all, but to just leave it!!!!

I'm sure it will be the 1st of many & bigger lumps:D:D:D

Well done blanked again. The guys who left all the crap probably didn't have a clue what they were doing hence all the discarded line. Still no excuse for not binning it properly like.

Well done. I take it the gate was open. Had to climb round last few times.
Mick.
ps well done on picking up line i would have done the same as well.

He had just closed the gate a few minutes before i got there as the wind was picking up so had to climb round:(
I was hoping he would of opened it by the time i headed off as the wind had dropped but no such luck.

well done on both accounts, rrrrrrrrrrrrr soles whoever left it,could have broken ya arm ,or worse ya rod.gggggggggggrrrrrrrrr it really gets my back up when it only takes one to get every one tarred with the same brush.

Well done mate, nice fish and another well done for picking up some disrespectful anglers mess and binning it for them. Roker pier has recently opened and it hasn't took long for the mess to gather on there too.
