I prefer just bog standard lead links with bait clips attached. Release every time.

impact sheilds over clean ground for distance

I can't fault the proper impact shields and have used them for years, I've just bought a bag of 200 of the copies, so I hope you're wrong otherwise they'll be going in the bin. Only time will tell!

thanks for imput lads but in certain conditions all mentioned have failed me only ones which hav,nt are my own made ones.

Impacts are normally what i use but as i say sometimes i use IMPS.
