hi
does anyone know where there are any ragworm bait machine around immingham, i come from sheffield and normally unable to get fresh bait locally, and the times i travel the tackle shops are closed, so bait from these machine would be better than no worm at all.
thanks

Hi,sorry i can\'t help you with the bait machine. If you are really stuck for bait you could try Sea Bait Ltd they do mail order, the postage is a bit steep but if you are buying alot or sharing then that will compensate you a bit for the postage.I think there is another company that does mail order but i can\'t remember who they are,you could search the link below for other company\'s.

There\'s a few lads on here from Yorkshire so somebody might be able to help you out with bait if you come to some sort of arrangement.

 nigel i\'ve had bait from a mail order place called something fishy in preston.they do a wide variety of fresh and frozen baits but again their postage prices r a bit steep!.give them a ring 4 a price list on 01524 792696.

nigelnibbles, haven\'t heard of any bait machines at Immingham or Grimsby, but try Mick Ball of Town Moor Baits and Tackle at Doncaster 01302/738774 he deals from home he might help you out. to find him go to multimap and put in his post code (dn2 5df) and it will mark it on a map, 26,Marlborough Rd Doncaster, it\'s near the racecourse, I\'ve not used him for some time as I\'m half way between Doncaster and Grimsby and to fish Immingham it\'s quicker to get bait in Grimsby, I\'ts worth a try he is a fisherman. fishy1

I think there was a thread on the old NESA board about a bait vending machine somewhere on South Humberside (is that North Lincolnshire now ?). Perhaps the original poster (if they are lurking around) can identify the exact location. Or, try getting in touch with Sea-Bait, they may be supplying the machine owner.

Bait machines ???
Showing my ignorance again.....lol
I take it they are vending machines you can get bait from at all hours day & night. If so, what a crackin\' idea - why don\'t tackle dealers have them o/side their shops - especially out of shop opening times.

They used to at Temples Whitley Bay, great at 2 am when the last cast produced, I seem to remember it was 50 new pence a bag. at that time rag or lug where about 35/40 new pence a bag, Im sure with todays technology a bait machiene could be developed thats anti dickhead proof I also remember they sold tabs aswell? 20p 4 10 Woodbines. sounds like agood idea bait and tabs, why not weights or line ect its got to be a seller for us idiots up at 2am :o that have ran out of gear??or what about a mobile delivery service? or has the John Smiths gone to my head? think of it? tea, coffee, bait line, leads even beer!! delieverd to your fishing position?? The John Smiths has just kicked in,I think, a nice dream I think :D im off to dream for a while

when i fished up at fontburn (trout fishing) they had a machine there ,which dispensed plastic cartons of lob worms - they were packed in peat and i think you got about 20 for £1.50 - so the concept is / has been going on for a while - never fished for trout in ages so maybe someone could bring me up to speed - Ant maybe (if he is still speaking to me ) as i know he fishes for trout . :P it was also unmanned so the machine must have been secure.

It worked 25/30 years ago for me(showing my age) so why not now??Its got to be a money spinner for someone,T.C what are you up to between midnight and 3 or 4 am.. Im sure you have 3 or 4 hours a nite when not much is going on (who needs sleep)get your self alittle van,a kettle some bait+spare line, why not 6st of weights???plus a load of advice for some of us less experianced anglers.... we will pay you, honest m8...Again why not?? if its a comp day or night we all forget, loose or run out of something!! :casstet: IF again IF it was poss I would be quite happy to pay few quid over the odds 4 some bait at 4am or what ever I needed ....BUT would it be viable(spelling ??) :.Starting to sober up,I think not .. but the vending side of things??? why not.Unless someone knows better :D If you do or know someone that has givven it a bash and it went down the pan please tell us why it? could be worth resurecting it again if more peeps knew about it

\"T.C what are you up to between midnight and 3 or 4 am\"

WORKIN\' , usually :casstet: :exclam:

I can remember Temples at Whitley Bay and Bainbridges news agent in Bedlington Stn used to have them outside ,But nice and handy at short notice for fishing in the 60s 70s and early 80s but no longer complaints of dead bait and empty and vandalised put pay to these

Sorry Tich, if me reply seemed a bit off hand, m8 - wasn\'t intended to be.
I\'d just spent all night doing stuff for work, (didn\'t have much chance to get on the Board at all last night) and just looked in on NESA before going to bed at the usual 3:00am
