Bait Shop Advice Please

I am in Newcastle on Tuesday morning and while I am there I am hoping to pick up some crab for a session on Tuesday afternoon/ evening and then maybe out again Wednesday morning.

Not sure how willing people will be to share info on this but I am after 50 live peeler and any recommendations on a good shop North or South of the Tyne would be most appreciated or if any members have some they would consider selling even.

I am going to Cobalt Business park so anywhere round there Blyth, Whitley etc. would be great but I am not too concerned about travelling further

Moonfleet in Gateshead will probably have crab in, may be best to ring around the shops first to check
Off the top of my head you could try
ID fishing in byker
Billy's in North Shields
Moonfleet
Fishing tackle store in camperdown ind estate (killingworth)
 
As mentioned above Moonfleet in Gateshead has got to be the best around in my opinion. Normally well stocked with live peeler that you can pick yourself. Staff very helpful aswell. Put it this way I live in Blyth 1 mile away from a local fishing shop and i travel the 12 mile or whatever it is through to Moonfleet to get my bait

spot on carl I do the same now and I live in whitley bay. use my pensioners pass and is only a small walk from felling station. davy.

Reelsport in Hebburn gets canny ones mate but I'd give them a bell before going

Thanks lads. Had a ring around today and most places didn't have any, Moonfleet getting some in Wednesday if any use to anyone.

Decided to put cod session off until Friday and might get out again Saturday morning.

Ordered 60 Devon crab from a company I have never used before called Hookers Baits. Fingers crossed, they seem to have a good reputation. Those of you who are on here when at work might want to leave Google searching that one until you get home, might flag up with the IT department ha ha

Used hazel a few times great woman and a great help. I got some white rag from her and crab before both excellent quality.

hookers does cracker bait like, and the plus side shes the best looking bait digger ive seen in my fishing years

Used them for blowlug before and it was shocking quality. Also paid through the nose for white rag and it was so small you couldn't tip off with it even using a bait needed.

Haven't used them for peeler - been ordering mine from a shop in Dundee called Anglers Choice. Frozen but cracking peeler, great size.
