Bass Reel

Just got this reel of Ebay, it was made for Woolworths, its a Winfield Bass fisher, think it was made in the early 70,s,
i done think its see much action as it looks as new as the day it was made, i got it for £9.99, thats a bargain,
going to pair it with my Fladen Xtra Flexx 2pc Bass Predator 3 metres rod, cheers jeff

collectors item now im afraid ,but still in great nick,wont be much good for spinning and will have a very low retrieve,but if your happy thats all that matters. davy

good casting reels apparently for spinning , the spool snapping in half under tension seems to be its main weakness.

Might be worth keeping it in that immaculate condition mate and hoying it on antiques roadshow in a few years time, piece of angling history like and may fetch a few bob. To my knowledge I don't think they were boxed but if they were and you had the original box could be worth more
Not bad for a tenner though

Had a few flatties out of the Marina dock today with it, there a good few in there,
cast at the ship and the lead go,s at the side of it ha ha, bloke in the tackle shop told me that one and it works,

the ship i hit ha ha,
