want to fish beacons thurs morning 2/3 hrs before low and after, wnt to understand how to get on and of in light as to satrt fishing durinmg darkness, is anyone free thurs bout 9am for a session on beacons who can show me the ropes

Hi mate cant make thurs morning but it is an easy enough place to get to.
Just park in the car park at church point( travel through newbiggin main street as far as you can then turn right at roundabout before the golf club)then just follow the cliff path past caravan site on your LEFT
all the rock marks along there will produce fish the beacons are the large flattish rock formation about 15 mins walk along the path they stretch along to the beach at lynemouth and the alcan power station.

you cant really go wrong park in the church point car park and just follow the coast north once round the church point you'll come onto the golf course and the rocks give way to a stretch of sand keep going north and you'll come to the start of the beacons/scarboro holes the south of which fishes around low water best results tending to be when the tide starts to flood if you want an easy mark to find look for a small round island that is uncovered at low water and fish casting either side of that.
further up north you'll come onto the fairy rocks - yelowish / pink sandstone which can be fished up to high water - look for remains of folks bait and you wont go far wrong for where to fish ha ha
safety wise i'd stay clear if theres a decent sea running as it can get mountainous but apart from having to retreat with the tide on the south side you should be ok.
Be wary of your getting mixed up with large island just north of the church point though - this is a good mark but have seen loads of folk cut off there over the years.

cheers know church point but usually fish further north being a beach man, but nowt this year so give beacons a shot, when i park at church and walk round there are 2 sets of rocks one on north side and one on sth, if on south do i cast into north side vice versa for south beacons, but then also i want my first time to be safe
