Got up to beadnell about 1:30 this afternoon to fish most of the tide up and an hour down. Was a lovely day part from the wind in ya face £1 a man for the 1st proper fish went to simon with a sized coalie
David had a rockling and i blanked apart from this crab if anyone can identify it

its a deadliest catch species looking at its back theres an alien head on it better ring mulder and sculley

Think it's a spider crab m8. Had 2 out the Tyne lately. Unlucky on blank. Was a lush day to be on Northumberland coast the day like, hard gannin at Dunstanbrough aswell like!!

I thought it was 1 of them opelio like trev says from deadliest catch
I was gona go to dunstanburgh but decided on not walking that far as i was dangling when a woke up this morning

Bestnest did you by any chance catch your spider crab from the walkway, it was the only place on the Tyne where I'd catch them but they were a Greyish/White in colour, not the lovely colour like that one in the pic

Mabye they like lead, as I've lost shot loads of that down there!! Haha
