Beadnell big skeer 9/11/13

3 of us fished the tide up today. I got 3 codling and a coalie, all went back to grow bigger! Mick got 3 codling and a nice wrasse + dad (aka growler) blanked.. Was worth the run up, good to hit into some fish for a change..( fishing around seaham area been poor lately) Baits were fresh blacks, crab, squid and mussel..

looks like nice session had by all,yous also took good choice of baits imo,for that particular area.:thumbup::thumbup:

Cheers lads, was good to pull a few in and make a day of it.. Wasnt easy as sea was dead flat, good to see them all go back except one which was deeply hooked.. Will be going up that area again soon, any suggestions of any marks to try as havent fished much up there..

why not just fish the smaller skiers few 100yds north over low water,some nice shots to be fished.then when yous get shoved off,then go back on long skier.ps ive found it fishes best on l/w @ flat seas.frozen crab @ mussel my no.1 choice this time of year.:thumbup:

Thanks regpude, saw those skeers at low water, looked good.. Will give it a go next chance I get (will be a week at the earliest) having to work sucks! Agree with yr bait choice, crab + mussel my favourite rough ground bait..
