Had a run up to Beadnell with family. Fishing with float fished rag and then jelly worms had over 20 pollack with best just below 4lb on jelly worm. Had 4 other good fish between 2.5lb and 3lb, rest were between 20cm and 35cm. Good day if a touch on the blowy side. Funnily enogh no wrasse at all, usually get a load. At one point a pollack of around 2lb came out of the water like a polaris missile trying to catch my jellyworm that i was lifting out to recast.

Sounds like you had a great session with the pollock. I love fishing for them when i'm up there. Some good size fish aswell!!

Thanks for the report!

good day out mate nice area for fishing i myself done a report on beadnell but like yourself only a few replys maybe cos its not a massacre of mackerel they wanted to hear of

I know what you mean mate. Avoid "mackerel" piers like the plague this time of year. Shame cos some nice plaice on bottom if you could fish them!

did someone say mackerel ?
anythehoo....saw some pollack caught on feathers at roker must have been 2 lb easy ...the fisheries permission officer is nagging to go caravanning near beadnell...was dreading it but now that u`ve mentioned this the trip to beadnell might just be worth it .......

Nice catch mate it was abit blowy we were on dunstanburgh wind stopped play in the end just podlers for us well done!

Can I be a pain as just started fishin with jellys etc how do you float them static or retrieve?:)

Didnt use float mate, just used float with the ragworm. Just used trace of about 4 feet off a 3 way swivel to a 3/0 aberdeen and a 1oz weight tied to the other eye of the swivel. Used this on a Flattie Fanatic with 15lb line on fixed spool reel
