bedlington's prize table was absolutely pony at the weekend. don't think ill fish it next year. its cheaper to go and buy yourself a rig wallet

its always a good well organised winter open competition with a great prize table i have found every year
the summer open comp has less entrants so the prizes are in proportion to the anglers completing

Regarding the prize table the comp was a summer open and this normally gets 70-80 anglers and these anglers are not bothered about table prizes they fish for the prize money..and its stated on the poster "plus 20 table prizes" so your not going to find twenty saltist 30s on the table...

well said the spaniard less anglers means less value to prizes some summer comps dont even have a prize table. Steve and the rest of the club do the best they can with limited resources

Agree 100%, what was the point of the original post? I used to do a lot of freshwater match fishing and virtually all the clubs phased out the prize table in the late 70s early 80s. It was clear the lads enter for the cash prizes.

nowt wrong with the prize table 20 prizes add up how much it cost i saw 4or5 rucksacks at £35 each plus greys fish bags and rig wallets plus 2 rods and a reel no cheap boxes of hooks or line spot on bedlington , jamcod

Totally agree Alan, people don't realise how much work there is in organising open competitions
