the issue of sea licences is a absolute non starter,as a keen angler of more than 30 years, and having a coarse fishing licence for the last 20 i can safely state the above opinion,i personally have had 3 checks in that time two in the same week at barmston pond (the local EA office is in the area) and another at woodlands at thirsk, having fished the angel and sharpley on numerous occassions, probably the two biggest and most used fisheries in this area yet never once seen a EA Baliff, its a complete joke, the summer morons wont buy a licence so its the year round angler thats going to be penalised for a piece of paper nobody is going to check,as for the roker situation, why not used a fraction of the money spent on baywatch clones on the beach and use the money to pay for one or two pier supervisors preferable 6ft+ and ex paras to police the piers, any crap and the instigator gets booted off the pier....
