dont understand that, zziplex offer lots of different models from soft to mega stiff, they are hand crafted and are second to none, you are putting it over as if they are no good for fishing up here RUBBISH
Not really built for our coastline, in my opinion.
Sticks of rhubarb, and nowhere near worth the money, the zippy cult
pay for them.
Sk4 crackin rod ive got one thats never let me down the once or twice ive used it
Realy must get them sold lol
What in your opinion is the best all round ( if there is such a thing) rod for the north east coast. ?
Not quite sure how zziplex are sticks of rhubarb ? Depends which model you buy as well, suppose if you buy a profile for heavy ground then yeah it may feel 'soft' same as if you buy a ttld. By no means poor rods, each has an application. As for an all rounder there's lots of rods that would fall into that category. What some people do though is buy the most powerful rod in any given range and think it gives them an edge, very naive. I used an m4 evo in some of the worst ground in Northumberland on a regular basis with ease. I've had all sorts of rods including plain horrible things that were to stiff for any enjoyment. Now i can honestly say the c3 ld I'm using now handles anywhere that i fish which includes most heavy ground but has feel and also the grunt to hoy 7oz 2/3 blacks, a whole squid, razor, a handful of mussel and a half fillet of bluey into heavy ground and pull whatever I hook back out of it![]()
