Heading across the watta tonight to do some fishing but I'll end up with an hour spare time before the fishing starts...

...where's a good chippy to get me tea?

Red Hut is living on past reputation - try Colmans ,which is on the last block before heading for the Pier / or first block ,depending on which way you are coming in :D - or just look for the Queue along the pavement ;);) and you will see it

Here you go Tony, good food guide to South Shields chippies (well the ones i've used anyway)

Green Lane fisheries (green lane) - lovely fish, chips ok
Gills (stanhope road) - fish ok, chips nice
Red hut (ocean rd) - chips ok, never had owt else.
Colemans (ocean rd) - bit pricey imo but fish and chips are nice.

Green lane is my favourite.

Enjoy your grub

any decent angler would fish 1st then go to the chip shop and get a bag of chips and ask the fryor to cook your fish for you
hahah
only kidding
i dont like colemans
they get all these awards
i prefer gills on stanhope rd

Well I never got me chips either at the beginning or the end :(

My car decided to spew gouts of oil through the oil pressure switch so I was busy trying to top up me engine before hand so I could limp to The Crown, then afterwards I just wanted to get home in one piece...

...saw the queue outside Colmans tho Bri :D

I'll have to fish a few more of these Friday Cash matches to get me chips ;)

nice to see another food based post from Tony LOL

Unlucky! Must be a vauxhall Corsa!

Aye :red:

On to the 3rd oil switch on our lass's corsa.

This'll be it's 4th if you include the 2 they've since replaced since it was serviced on saturday :o

...that said I can't fault the service...rang them up first thing this morning and told 'em what the crack was and I took it down straight away

They've stripped down the whole Oil system and cleaned it out etc etc all for no extra charge :)

I'll have you know I've been to the gym twice this week :D :p

One at the beach in Blyth isn't bad, but personally I'd go to Kristians on the fish quay at N/Shields then get the ferry over the river - come on, owt south of the Tyne is going to be useless rubbish, everyone knows that, that's why we keep all the politicians in London ;)
