What\'s your best ever gig lads?

I\'ll start the ball rolling: 1986 Bon Jovi at the City Hall (because FM were the support band)

Or is it: Tyketto at the Sheiffield Corporation (2004 reunion?)

Or: Peter Green at the (whatever the Chelsesa Cat is called now!)

Or possibly: The Monsters of Rock at the Gateshead Arena (Y&T, Gary Moore and Whitesnake?

The second time I saw Uriah Heep at the City Hall. Not what I expected at all. Totally different line up but brilliant. 1974 What a great year.

Jim.

Hawkwind .....mid \'70s at the City Hall.....only the \"best\" because it was my 1st (Hawkwind were absolute sh*te), but the support band \"Tiger\" were brilliant

Y&T on the mean streak tour or motorhead at birmingham both great gigs also used to like to see magnum when they played newcastle

I thought peeps were off to bed, so I logged out......looks like you\'re still here?????

Ray, did you not catch the Motorhead \"Bomber\" tour at the City Hall? It was put onto the \"No Sleep Till Hammersmith\" album

last gig i was at was stiff little fingers at the mayfair been working nights for the last five years so i dont get to many now if any of you are into floyd theres a good tribute band playing shields leisure centre april 2nd

Is it the Australian Pink Floyd Show?......seen them a couple of years ago at the Customs House.......BRILLIANT !

no there from shields paul wood formed them with the guitarist from the sun devils i seen the aussies they were good

1. Happy Mondays - Newcastle City Hall (91 Green & Yellow mmmm)

2. Stone Roses - Spike Island (91 was a bigun.)

john

fishing now though lol

quite scary, but I was at nearly all the above (aprt from hawkwind and uriah heap although id catch heap later on)

tough one to call,

Pink floyd Earls court 1980 for the first Wall tour was pretty awesome, Nirvana at the riverside maybe, but I\'d probably go for \"the band of Joy\" the marquee club (the proper one on wardour street before they pulled it down) in 1986

otherwise known as Robert Plant, Jimmy page, John Paul Jones and jason bonham standing in for his dad. Got tipped off about it and managed to get in. was treated to nearly 3 hours of all the best zeppelin.

another that sticks in the mind as just being plain brilliant was Budgie (remember them) in a pub in walthamstow and The damned, in a tiny club in Retford Notts for the Smash it up tour

Hawkwind could be absolute toss or sublime, experienced both!

worst gig....Aerosmith City Hall, 1987ish, complete cack, lots of backing tapes being played and I swear to this day they were miming. Saw Kiss there a couple of years previous and thought they were pants as well

stiff little fingers 25th anniversary tour

out and out best angelic upstarts last gig in south shields

i broke my leg

but what a night

One of the many Ozzy Osbourne gigs I\'ve been to,probably Bark at The Moon gigs,Mayfair was a good\'un.
AC/DC at the City Hall 1982
Metallica, Master of Puppets tour 1986, Anthrax supporting @ Mayfair
did\'nt bother much during the 90\'s all crap, well most of it.
went to see The Darkness at the Arena at the end November, this group is the real deal no matter what you think of them, they are twice as good live, probably one of the best gigs I\'ve been to,shame they had Ash supporting nowt against them but the two groups don\'t go together, they could probably do the arena\'s themselves and sell out, canny live as well but not my cup of tea.

it seems most of the lads on here like the same sort of music we should arrange a charity rock night somewhere sless did you see the upstarts when they played the charirty gig in jarrow i missed both absolutely gutted

dire straits live in 85 awesome guitar renditions also seen this band called the big pink in a boozer in bridlington sounded excellent don\'t know what happened to them.
