how far did you make it out, and did your boat handle the sea ok further out, glad you caught something at least..

We went up to "The Yellow Can" off whitley bay then pottered about different spots on the way back, till we plonked ourselves right in the middle of the channel just outside the piers where we caught (and half-caught) the mackies, but then we shifted south when the ferry came tearing towards us!

Was a right laugh!

nice one mate good to hear you are enjoying it, i had a 16ft boat a used to launch from sunderland and i can say i thoroughly enjoyed it, and your right you do have a great laugh some days, we were once pulled in by a trawler at amble when we launched there, when my main engine and my auxillary failed, what a laugh:D

What day did you go out Scott? Me and Phil were on Shields pier on Saturday and we saw a boat that looked a lot like yours sailing out of the piers.

thats what it all about haveing a laugh and enjoying .yourselfs. glad yous enjoyed it

The ability to laugh whilst boat fishing of the NE coast of England is essential IMHO.

There also comes a time when one should not be afraid to cry. We have a little area up the pointy end where a "man" can go for a bit greet if it's all coming on top. There's tissues, ylang ylang oil, beanbags - all that caper up there for those "I'm gonna die" moments.

the queue to get in though can be distressing, thinkin of buying a second boat for the overflow

you 2 are mad lol and your right i been out with a couple of mates who were nearly crying when we left the piers in 6ft swells first time out ohh i forgot to say it was that really foggy day not so long ago lol
